Creative Roots | Who Knew Hydration Could Taste So Good?

By Christen Reiner, Macaroni Kid Lakewood-Littleton & Macaroni Kid Denver Editor and Publisher December 16, 2020

Moooom! But I hate water!

This is something I hear every day.

So what is a mom to do? Especially living in the extra dry climate of Colorado, we worry about keeping our kids hydrated. These kids work hard, and they play hard, and they crash just as hard when they are underhydrated.

Well, hydrating my water-haters just got easier. They were sold on the delicious flavors right away, and with one gram of sugar and plant-powered, all-natural ingredients to help keep my kids hydrated, this mom feels good about serving Creative Roots

Our Go To Drink

I decided to "test the waters" with my 10 year old, who hates water but loves his high sugar drinks, with a fun experiment. I told him that he could choose whichever drinks he wanted for a whole day as a reward for doing so well with remote learning (so he wouldn't catch on that I was observing him). I set out several options including sports drinks, soda, plain water, juice boxes, and Creative Roots

And then I got my camera ready. And I waited.

I was on alert every time he headed for the kitchen. I fully expected him to choose the sugary options. I was pleasantly shocked that he chose the Creative Roots drinks every time. EVERY TIME!

Whether he was focused on school or play, his go to drink was the one that kept him feeling alert, creative, and happy.

This is what he said:

"I can't get enough of these Creative Roots! Who knew that water could taste soooo good? And guess what! I feel like I could go and go and go!"

According to a study published the American Journal of Public Health*, 1 in 2 kids is underhydrated.
Creative Roots is here to help. With 1 gram of sugar and all-natural, plant-powered ingredients,
parents will feel good about serving Creative Roots to their kids.

An Unexpected Discovery

I was given the opportunity to share Creative Roots with families in our community, and I was excited to find out if other kids loved the drinks as much as mine did. What I didn't expect was that adults loved the drink, too! As the word got out that I had the goods, adults of all ages wanted to get in on the action. They loved the fact that they could stay hydrated, healthy, and happy while enjoying the delicious flavor of Creative Roots.

Here's what the adults had to say:

  • "Creative Roots is the perfect pick me up when I'm feeling sluggish and cranky!"
  • "I can't get through a bottle of water (yuck!), and I don't want to rely on bad-for-you beverages to help me stay hydrated. Creative Roots drinks are not only kid-approved, they are grandma-approved!"
  • "My kids are mad at me because I drank all of their Creative Roots! Guess we are ALL learning about the importance of hydration since we found a great-tasting way to help stay hydrated!"

The Perfect Better-For-You Beverage

After trying Creative Roots myself, and sharing it with family, friends, and people in our community, it came as no surprise that it quickly became our go to drink choice. Not only has it been clinically shown to improve kids' hydration, it tastes great! What more can you ask for in a better-for-you beverage?

If you are looking for a better-for-you option to help your family stay hydrated, look no further! You can find Creative Roots in your local Safeway, Walmart, and Target. Check out the Creative Roots website to find out more!
