Read, Make, and Explore this Summer with Denver Public Library

The Summer of Adventure runs May 25 - Aug 21

May 19, 2021

It’s time for a new adventure! Register for Denver Public Library’s Summer of Adventure, the FREE program that encourages youth from birth to 12th grade to grow, learn and have fun.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, young people have experienced loss in social connections and academic learning. Over the summer months, while not in school, students who lack access to learning opportunities also lose anywhere between 1-3 months of reading and math skills. These circumstances are called the “COVID-19 slide” and the “summer slide”, respectively.

It’s more important than ever for youth to experience connection, growth, and fun. Summer of Adventure provides youth with opportunities for self-paced informal learning and activities to help them retain academic and social skills during the summer months. Plus, participants have the chance to earn prizes throughout the summer!

Registration for Summer of Adventure begins May 25th. To learn more or sign up call 720-865-1111, visit denverlibraryadventures.org, or drop by your local Denver Public Library branch. You’ll get a printed Adventure Guide to inspire your own reading, making, and exploring along with a prize to get you started.
