Five local Denver Metro Tide Cleaners dry cleaning stores are thrilled to announce a continued partnership with Prom Dress Exchange, a local nonprofit dedicated to making prom dreams come true in the Denver area. Tide Cleaners will continue to serve as a drop-off location for prom dresses this May and June 2024 and will offer 50% off the next cleaning to those who donate.
Tide Cleaners will dry clean and store thousands of donated dresses, supporting the Prom Dress Exchange's mission of providing affordable formal attire to high school students.
“With prom season coming to an end, we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to collect some dresses while everyone refreshes their closets before summer. Every year has been bigger than the last and Tide Cleaners was instrumental in the success we had for this last event,” says Jessica Montour, local wardrobe consultant and Prom Dress Exchange President who has been volunteering with the organization for the past 10 years. “We want to provide as many options as possible for kids to find their perfect dress so when better to start collecting than right after prom!”
Prom Dress Exchange celebrated their 25th anniversary this past March with their annual Prom Dress Event, providing $10 dresses to hundreds of high school students. Since its inception in 1999, the organization has provided thousands with affordable prom attire, reducing the financial burden associated with this milestone event. With the average cost of prom ranging between $900-$1200, the Annual Prom Dress Exchange plays a crucial role in making prom accessible to all.
