Bright Nights Now Open at Four Mile Historic Park

Open through November 8, 2026

September 8, 2026

Bright Nights at Four Mile Historic Park, Denver’s original lantern festival experience, returns for  its fourth year on Wednesday through Sunday evenings from 7-11 p.m. from Aug. 8 through Nov. 8. The experience offers  guests an enchanting opportunity to wander the 12 acres of the Park where they’ll discover a magical menagerie of brightly  colored lanterns.

In partnership with Tianyu Arts and Culture, Bright Nights offers a mesmerizing blend of art by day and luminescent magic by night, transforming Four Mile Historic Park into a luminous wonderland that captivates visitors of all ages. This year’s themes invite guests to travel through space and time; shrink down to the size of a Four Mile honeybee to explore life as  an insect, walking alongside a giant mantis or through a field of oversized wildflowers; cross the globe to discover African animals; dive deep into the ocean to spend time with sharks; and delight in the same natural world that inspired Victorian literary classics.

“We’re looking forward to continuing Denver’s original lantern festival by popular demand,” said Allie Matsuo, manager of programs and education at Four Mile Historic Park. “Giant versions of African animals, insects, flowers and ocean creatures come to life when the sun goes down this summer at Four Mile, and brand-new add-on experiences for our guests and members enhance the magic of Bright Nights.”
